Okay, let me first start by saying this is going to be THE longest blog post I have ever done. So go ahead and grab that glass of wine … or 2 and get ready for a full recap of the best day of my life, our wedding day.

Before I get into the details of our wedding day I first want to thank all of our INCREDIBLE vendors who made this day possible and made our dreams come true.

Thank you to Caroline and all of the Posh PR team for sticking with us for 2 years, handling all the curveballs that were sent our way and for being the best planners and friends ever!

Thank you to Dover Hall for being the most incredible venue and hosts. Your customer service is superb and without you we wouldn’t have had the wedding of our dreams!

Thank you to Anna of Annamarie Akins Photography  for capturing our day SO PERFECTLY and for just being the best ever! And thank you to Brittany of Brittany Claud Photography for being the best second shooter!!

Thanks you to Andrew and Frank of Theater 10 Films for coming all the way from California to capture our day, you guys were so much fun & we cant wait to see the video!

OKAY. Now that I have introduced the dream team of vendors now we can get into the wedding day! YAY! For those of you who don’t know, Josh and I spent 2 years planing our wedding and boy was it a ROLLERCOASTER. We originally booked our wedding at a venue in Charlottesville for May 19, 2018. The first curveball came when we realized we needed to change our wedding date because it conflicted with a local college graduation and there were NO hotels available. Thankfully we were able to change our date easily and keep the majority of our vendors we had already booked. Thank God we did change the date because it was thunder storming the entire day on May 19!  The next and biggest curve ball was when we were informed that our wedding venue had to cancel our wedding just months away from the day. My heart sank to my stomach and I was so worried that all the hard work and planning we had done wouldn’t happen. But thankfully Caroline, along with the incredible team at Dover Hall came to the rescue. After Caroline reached out to Dover Hall and explained the situation they welcomed us with open arms and were willing to move their schedule around to accommodate our wedding! I was in complete tears from their kindness and I knew after walking into the doors at Dover Hall and meeting the team of people, that it was meant to be from the beginning. I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect place for our wedding!

When I think back to our wedding day I can’t help but get the biggest smile on my face and the best feeling in the world. It truly was the best day of our lives. Our wedding took place on May 26, 2018 and it was the most humid day Virginia has ever seen! There were storm clouds around us the entire day but thankfully it barely rained! In fact there was actually a huge storm headed our way right before the ceremony and the storm decide to split right around the venue, thank you, God! Every aspect of our wedding day was truly magical and SO. MUCH. FUN. Everyone was just smiling and laughing the entire day! Josh and I are still giddy over it.

Looking back through all these photos and remembering all the moments that went with each image make me, smile, laugh, cry, and want to dance haha! I wish I could relive this day over and over because it was just that awesome! Every single one of our family and friends had so much fun and that is exactly what Josh and I wanted. We wanted everyone to have the best time of their lives! Not only was the day amazing and the details were everything, but I finally got to marry my best friend and the love of my life and I can FINALLY call him my husband!!!!!! WAHOOO!!! Say hello to the new Mrs. Medlin 🙂

I fell like I could literally go on and on about our wedding and everything that went into planning it, but when I think back to our wedding all I can think of is the pure joy and happiness we felt on that day. Lauren, you are the best sister a girl could ask for. You’re always there to answer my calls when I’m stressed and I truly look up to you and Ryan. You are not only my sister but my best friend. Throughout our lives we have remained so close no matter the distance or circumstance. Thank you for always being the calm, rational one to my craziness and for always bringing me back down to earth when I need it. I couldn’t have imaged a better Maid of Honor to stand by my side. I love you to the moon and back! Jeri, my hot beach babe. I love you so much. You have known me and been by my side since the day I was born. Not many people can say that their neighbor growing up is now one of their best friends. We’ve created so many memories together over the years and I cherish each and every one… and I’m still so sorry for hitting you on the head with a horseshoe when I was little! I aspire to have your spontaneity and passion for life. You are truly one of a kind and I’m so happy I get to call you my sister and best friend. <3 Madison… My Stoots. You have never failed me. You’ve been my closest friend since day one when I came to JM. You always give me the best advise and never fail to be the best person to hangout with when I need my spirits lifted. My oldest friend, Cat. We have been together since the day we were born, literally. You are my oldest friend and you’ll never get rid of me! I love you more than you know and I hope you continue to chase your dreams and live your life… even if means living out of your car! I will always support you on all of your crazy journeys. Maddie, You are the person I call when I just need to chat, you are the person I confide in. Our friendship is truly special. You are a blast in a glass and always know how to have a good time! You have never failed to be there for me when times were hard. You’ve always encouraged me to chase my dreams and supported all of my crazy decisions! I love you endlessly!!!!  Jake, you are one of our best friends. You never fail to make us laugh uncontrollably and you’ve always been just a phone call away. I love when you just call randomly to check in on us and we end up talking for forever. We love you! Drastic Drew…. where do I begin? ? We have been through so much together. You are one of the greatest people I know and Josh and I are honored to call you a friend! Thanks for always being our source of comedic relief and for being your wild and crazy self.

Mike, we love you so much. You are easily one of the most talented people I know. You are going to do such great things! Im so happy to finally call you my brother! Brad, although we didn’t have the best first impression ? you have remained such a great friend to Josh. You have the craziest ideas and truly live life to the fullest. I love the days when we all hangout and you try to get me to like beer, haha! We love you!

Nick, I have known you since the day you were born and you have become such an incredible young man. You will forever be my little brother and I’m so happy Josh can finally call you his brother! Sam, you are the greatest. You have always been so close with Josh and I and we cherish our relationship with you so much. You are so brilliant and you will go so far in life. Always stay silly and always stay creative.
