Katie and I have been anticipating this day for a LONG time. I met Katie a about a year ago when we officially decide to become a #ErikaLynnBride and I knew from the moment we met that her day was going to be so special. After watching the weather and praying for a beautiful day I arrived at Old House Vineyard with nothing but smiles and excitement for this day. Not only was this day special to Katie, Scott and all their family and friends. But I learned that this day also has a little family history. Katie’s wedding day was also her Grandfathers birthday who has passed away. After learning that, I now know that her Grandfather gifted her with such a gorgeous day just after a huge thunderstorm rolled in the night before.
I arrived to the vineyard and walked up the stairs to see Katie’s gorgeous bridesmaids getting ready for the big day. I knew imminently that this day was going to be a great one. As soon as Katie arrived you could feel her energy and excitement light up the room. She was getting ready to marry her Prince Charming and she couldn’t be happier. Katie and Scott are such a special couple. They have endured so much together, but have stayed strong in their relationship with one-another. I was so honored to be able to capture their special day and celebrate with them! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. King!
Katie wanted me to include this sweet locket of her grandparents as well as their wedding bands in her details.
It wouldn’t be Scott’s bridal photos without a silly picture!
We saw the locket resting on Katie’s vows, and it was too perfect not to capture.
And the big reveal to her bridesmaids!
Such a sweet reaction!
One of my favorite parts of the day… the Daddy Daughter first look!
Katie and Scott opted to a a First Touch and it was absolutely priceless!
Now if any of you have seen Katie and Scott’s engagement session, you know that the silly face picture is a classic!
Now time for sunset portraits by the water!
That light! All the heart eyes!!!!! What a better way to end the night then with this image! Congratulations you two!
