Hi friends! I am so excited to FINALLY share this amazing experience with you! In September I had the honor of attending the oh-so infamous KJ workshop! But this time, it was going to ne held at Big Springs Farm and I was STOKED! This workshop couldn’t have come at a better time in my life and business. I had been trying to save up ever since I started my business to attend this workshop. But time after time things never worked themselves out as planned, other expenses or life always seemed to get in the way every time Katlyn would announce the dates. But not this time!!! This time it finally worked its self out and I was lucky enough to snag one of the last seats!
Before I entered this workshop I was at a place in my business where I felt like I was stuck. Life hit me hard and I felt like my business was taking a big hit! I told Katlyn upon arriving that I was so excited to be here because I felt like this was exactly what I needed! I told her that I needed a light under my butt to kick me into year and get be back where I wanted to be! And let me just say… it not only did that but MORE!
Honestly guys, this workshop was by far one of the best experiences of my life (no joke). Not only was everything so beautiful and well planned but also Katlyn laid out her heart and business to all of us! And for that I am SO thankful! I feel like one of the best things you can do for yourself as a photographer and for your business is invest in education. I left this workshop with a full heart and such high spirits! This workshop truly was worth every penny in SO many ways! I have to say that if you ever get the chance to attend a KJ workshop, GO FOR IT! Katlyn and Michael are truly the most genuine people I have ever met and it was a blessing to be able to spend 2 days with them along with all the other AMAZING men and women who attended the workshop! I have to say that this workshop definitely put my butt into gear and because of that, I have re fallen in love with my job and what I do, and that I am so grateful for!
So enough of my sappy speech and lets get on to what matters… the pictures! 😉
One of the things that I have been struggling with for a while now is my editing. I knew how to edit and be consistent but I wasn’t falling in love with my work anymore. So when I arrived home I made it my MISSION to get this whole editing thing right! I spent at least 24 hours total sitting at my computer playing around with lightroom until I got it perfect! (I promise you, you can even ask Josh) And from that I feel like I have completely evolved as a photographer! I am now back in love with my work and I am actually now excited to go home and edit! So with that being said (I know I’m sorry for another speech! L ) here are all my images from this INSANLEY GORGEOUS styled shoot by so many incredible vendors! A huge thanks to Katlyn and Michael and also to all the people who made this happen!
